Porto Covo to the Cape - 12 days - 10 walks.
Self-guided walking on the Rota Vicentina from Porto Covo to Cape St Vincent along the Fishermen's Trail.
Experience the whole of the original Fishermen's Trail in the south west Alentejo, which for the most part follows paths that have been used by local fishermen for generations to reach the best spots for line fishing from the cliffs.
The route passes through several seaside villages before covering six "Coastal Circuits" on the Algarve's west coast.
The trail itself is an incredible sensory experience, from the sounds of the birds and the vast Atlantic Ocean crashing against the rocks, abundant plant life with a multitude of colours, shades and fragrances and varied geological phenomenon. The forests display the changing colours of the cork oak trees and the flowers and fruits of the strawberry tree.
Walking. Varied walking tour only requiring a good basic fitness level. You walk on well maintained marked walking trails and partly on forest paths. On the coastal trails there is a considerable amount of dune walking. Daily walking times are max. 7 hours.

€220.00 - solo walker supplement in any period.
An extra night in Porto Covo at the start with a transfer to São Torpes ( the northernmost point of the Fishermen's Trail) for a 10 km walk back to Porto Covo. Ideal walk to help prepare for the tough stage from Porto Covo to Vila Nova de Milfontes.
€60.00 per person including 1 night b&b, picnic lunch and transfer.
Rest days can be arranged at any location.
Spend one or more nights in Lagos at the end of the programme.
From €60.00 per person per night B&B based on 2 persons sharing a twin/double marina view room.
Private transfers from regional airports can be arranged. Prices available on request.
What's included.
The standard package includes: 11 nights bed and breakfast in twin/double room with en suite facilities, 10 simple packed lunches + 1.5 l of water each day, baggage transfers during tour, emergency support phone line, 4x4 emergency support vehicle, obligatory personal accident insurance and walk information pack provided by Ramblin'tejano, our licenced recreational activities operator in Portugal.
Excluding: flights, airport transfers (unless requested), travel insurance*, dinners, other drinks, personal expenses and gratuities.
