Explore this diverse and impressive island in the Atlantic Ocean. There are steep and rugged coast lines, green hills and small bays great for swimming as well as cloud forests and sun-drenched banana plantations. The flower island, Madeira, offers versatile scenery and a pleasant climate all year round. The dry east, the cool north, the barren mountains, the moist high plateaus and the sunny south all invite you to come and explore this wonderful island. At all times of the year, there are different flowers and trees blooming at different altitudes. The friendly and tradition-conscious locals invite you to get to know their country and their culture. Accommodations are 4****-hotels and 2 lovely 2**-hotel (Porto da Cruz).
Mountain Hiking. Daily routes along well-built and very diverse paths, which can however sometimes be on narrow paths. There are lots of paths along the coastline and also along Levadas (irrigation canals), where a head for heights and sure-footedness are essential in some sections. You will need a good level of fitness for this walking holiday where each walk should take max. 5 hours.
Per person based on 2 persons sharing a twin/double room for arrivals on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Whats included / Services.
This package includes: 7 overnight stays as stated on a bed and breakfast basis, luggage transfers, welcome briefing (German or English), transfers detailed in programme, bus ride from Cabo Girao to Funchal, uphill cable car journey to Monte/Funchal, carefully elaborated route description, detailed travel and tour documents (1 per room in German, English or French), GPS-data is available on request, service hotline.
Excluding: flights, airport transfers (unless requested) ,tourist taxes if applicable, travel insurance, dinners (unless half-board option selected), drinks, personal expenses and gratuities.
